Roma manager Jose Mourinho sat down to preview Saturday’s showdown at the Olimpico with Napoli.
”Napoli are still a great team, they’re still the reigning Serie A champions. They have plenty of options to choose from,” said Mourinho.
“My wanting to stay at Roma? I have always been honest from the beginning. When I came to Roma I received an important offer I communicated it to the club and then I refused because I had an agreement with Roma. In December of the year we won the Conference League I could have gone to coach Portugal, but the club told me it was important for me to stay and so I stayed.”
“After the Budapest final I met with the club and informed them of the interest from Saudi Arabia and decided not to leave. Now my honesty ends here and what to say I said that I would like to stay here and struggle with all the positive and even negative things that can happen, but this is my position and there is nothing left to talk about because I don’t want to talk about it anymore.”
”Tomorrow Kumbulla will not even be on the bench. He is not ready even if he is fine but he is tired and needed rest today.”
“Dybala is fine but will not play. Mancini hasn’t trained all week but tomorrow he plays because if he doesn’t have triple fractures he plays because the team needs him. Aouar is a long way away. Smalling I still haven’t seen him on the field. We miss him so much.”
