Mourinho previews Vitesse-Roma: “I rely on those who perform well.”

Jose Mourinho of AS Roma

Roma manager Jose Mourinho addressed the media following the team’s arrival in Holland ahead of tomorrow’s Conference League fixture. The Special One briefly previewed Vitesse-Roma.

“We’ve come here with the whole group except for Spinazzola,” said Mourinho.

The Portuguese technician was frustrated with the quality of the pitch, “This is not a football pitch. I’ve been coming here for over twenty years and the stadiums have always been wonderful. I don’t understand how we’re supposed to play there tomorrow.”

When asked if he’s going to rest certain players, Mourinho shook his head and replied, “I rely on those who perform well and work hard. Now everyone’s doing well.”

“Against Atalanta was one of the few times where we were able to make five substitutions. I think that now we have a group that is united and a bench that is reliable.”

“We have two objectives and every single game matters to us. Tomorrow we’ll play with a strong eleven and an equally strong bench.”
