Mourinho pushes for Roma to extend Bryan Cristante’s contract until 2026

Andy Mattioli

Roma are at work to extend Bryan Cristante’s contract with the club until 2026 with Jose Mourinho personally advocating for this to happen in the near future.

According to calciomercato.com, the Special One has instructed the club to promptly resolve Cristante’s contractual situation and extend his stay in the capital for an additional two years.

Despite other Italian clubs including Juventus and Milan demonstrated interest in the 27-year-old midfielder, Roma do not wish to part ways with the ex-Atalanta man.

The capital club are negotiating the details of the extension with the player’s agent and an agreement could be reached in September, once the transfer window winds to an end.
