Former Roma manager Jose Mourinho was recently asked about the most challenging accomplishment of his career.

In answering this question at the Digital Wellbeing Summit in Saudi Arabia as reported by news portal Ojogo, the Portuguese technician did not hesitate in pointing to his recent experience in the Italian capital which came to an end in mid-January of this year.

“Maybe it was reaching two European finals with Roma. Looking at the club’s history, you understand why that is.”

“There are things that are done that are just a normal consequence of the situation. The fewer conditions there are, the more credit you have when you win.”

“At Roma it was impossible to reach two consecutive European finals, that’s why they fired me in my third year.”
