Mourinho receives standing ovation from Olimpico crowd prior to Cremonese kick-off

Andy Mattioli

Roma are minutes away from facing Cremonese in tonight’s Round of 16 Coppa Italia match-up at the Stadio Olimpico.

Once again, the home fans packed the stadium to the brim with over 60,000 people attending the mid-week fixture.

Roma supporters did not shy away from welcoming Roma boss Jose Mourinho.

The Portuguese technician stepped on the pitch prior to kick-off and received a standing ovation from the crowd in the Tribuna Monte Mario sector of the stadium, reports Voce Giallorossa. Eventually, the ovation spread across the entire stadium.

Mourinho then responded by beating his hand over his chest.
