Jose Mourinho was asked about Roma’s objectives for the season and whether the Giallorossi value a top four finish over another EL final.

In his interview with Sky Sport on the eve of Servette-Roma, Mourinho said, “I grew up in teams where it was impossible to think that the league is more important as an objective than the Europa League. I don’t like this thought.”

“If we get to the bottom of the competition and we need to make a choice we will make it, but now it’s still too early for such considerations,” he added.

“There are 8 games left until the end of 2023. Now it’s a difficult moment, we play on Thursday, then on Saturday we play against Sassuolo. Only then will we be able to have more peace of mind, but these next 3 days will be tough.”
