Jose Mourinho was not happy with his players’ display in the recent friendly 0-3 defeat with Cadiz in Algarve, Portugal.
Following the match, the Portuguese technician was reportedly very direct the players who stepped on the pitch, scalding them in the dressing room and preparing an intense training for the day after.
In fact, Corriere dello Sport reports that Mourinho did not allow his players to a regular post-match workout. Instead, the Roma boss instructed his staff to carry out intense one-hour drills meant to improve the players’ physical condition.
With only two friendlies left in their mid-season training schedule, Mourinho wants to make sure the Giallorossi come back to the Italian capital prepared for the second half of the season.
