Jose Mourinho spoke to DAZN minutes before kick-off to Roma-Sampdoria.
In his pre-match interview, the Special One discussed the challenge of facing the Blucerchiati without key players such as Bryan Cristante, Gianluca Mancini and Roger Ibanez.
“We worked on this for the past week or so,” said the Roma boss. “We trained with the objective of forgetting about these absences and of being ready for today.”
“There are some things we cannot change in the course of one week, but we worked really hard, especially with those who were not away on international duty.”
“The most important thing about today is to win,” he added. “We have to have a lot of concentration and the guys have to do everything to win the game which is our goal.”
“Belotti and Abraham? Andrea [Belotti] has a very special mentality. Tammy is not as strong as him mentally but is technically very strong and with players like Pellegrini, El Shaarawy and Dybala he can do well.”
