Mourinho still trusts Tammy Abraham

Andy Mattioli

Jose Mourinho has still plenty of confidence and trust in his star attacker at Roma, Tammy Abraham, despite the Englishman’s slow start to the season with only three league goals to his name, reports La Gazzetta dello Sport.

Despite transfer rumours claiming otherwise, there is no bad blood between the Special One and the ex-Chelsea striker.

The player’s disappointing performances in the first half of this year’s campaign have put him at the center of transfer rumors linking him with a potential return to England in the summer.

However, the Italian newspaper claims that Abraham is fully focused on Roma after the missed call-up for the World Cup in Qatar.

The 25-year-old is now enjoying his time off in the Maldives but knows fully well that Roma are going to need him from January onwards if they wish to achieve their season objectives.
