Today shall be the day Roma find out the number of match-days Jose Mourinho will be banned for, according to Il Tempo.

The Special One’s erratic behavior toward match official Luca Pairetto in Roma’s home draw to Hellas Verona could be enough to motivate the Sporting Judge to extend the regular one-match ban to three.

Mourinho is also accused of kicking a ball into the stands and mimicking the use of a telephone, which would further aggravate the offense.

Moreover, the newspaper reports that General Manager Tiago Pinto could also be suspended given his discussion with Pairetto after the final whistle.

The Portuguese director was reportedly the one heard saying to the referee, “You can’t be making such decisions, Juventus sent you… your brother works for them!” referring to Alberto Pairetto, the official’s brother and Head of Stadium Revenue for Juventus. Contrasting reports from La Stampa attributed this quote to Mourinho himself.

The cases will be studied in further detail today and a decision will be taken regarding the severity of the punishment to be implemented for both Mourinho and Pinto.

If confirmed, the Federal Prosecutor could open a case against Tiago Pinto in the coming days.
