Georginio Wijnaldum is set to make his first start for Roma since joining the capital club in the summer on loan from Paris Saint-Germain.
The Dutch midfielder – who was forced to skip a large portion of the season due to a fractured leg suffered in training – will make his first starting appearance in the upcoming Serie A affair with Cremonese.
According to Corriere dello Sport, Wijnaldum has convinced Mourinho in training and in his recent appearances in the final minutes of Serie A games with Lecce and Hellas, as well as the Europa League legs with Salzburg.
Wijnaldum will thus finally have a chance to make the desired impact on Mourinho’s formation, slotting in for either Nemanja Matic or Bryan Cristante.
