Last night’s defeat at San Siro saw Romelu Lukaku being harassed and targeted by thousands of Inter supporters in attendance.

The Belgian striker’s return to his former stadium proved as difficult as Roma feared it would be, resulting in a deflating loss near the final minutes of the match.

According to Corriere della Sera, Roma manager Jose Mourinho – who watched from the stands due to his suspension – did not like the initiative undertaken by so many Nerazzurri supporters who purchased whistles from the Curva Nord in order to whistle and boo Lukaku throughout the entire duration of the match.

The Special One reportedly joked about this phenomenon with Inter’s management, saying, “Do you have a whistle for me as well? I think it might come in handy.”
