Roma midfielder Houssem Aouar has made a big impression on Jose Mourinho since joining the club in June.
The ex-Lyon player stunned Mourinho and his coaching staff during the early stages of Roma’s pre-season and is now being considered for a top role in the team’s starting eleven.
In fact, Corriere dello Sport reports that in all likelihood we will see Aouar start alongside Lorenzo Pellegrini and Paulo Dybala in the first matchdays of the season.
Mourinho could in fact deploy Dybala as a false nine with Aouar and Pellegrini slotting in behind him.
In a recent interview, Aouar admitted that in his view, him and Pellegrini should easily co-exist with each other, without forcing Mourinho to pick one over the other.
