Mourinho to rely on Shomurodov-Abraham in attack

With Tammy Abraham and Eldor Shomurodov returning from international duty, Jose Mourinho will be able to decide whether to continue with both strikers leading the offensive line in Roma’s upcoming fixtures.

According to Corriere dello Sport, The Special One was not pleased with how isolated Abraham was in recent games.

The solution to this problem was found in the match against Venezia where Shomurodov replaced Mkhitaryan on the wing. The Uzbekistan international scored his first goal since August and provided an assist for Abraham’s goal.

Mourinho is now reportedly considering switching to a different formation, with three at the back and the two strikers leading the line.

This way the Portuguese technician hopes to fix Roma’s offensive inefficiency, an issue he repeatedly addressed in recent interviews.
