Jose Mourinho is expected to give Riccardo Pagano his first Serie A start.
The Primavera midfielder was recently involved in all of Roma’s pre-season in Portugal and impressed fans and coaching staff alike in the friendly game he appeared.
According to Corriere dello Sport, the 18-year-old is likely to follow in the footsteps of other youngsters who debuted under Mourinho and carved themselves a place in the first team such as Edoardo Bove, Nicola Zalewski, Benjamin Tahirovic and Felix Afena-Gyan, among others.
The newspaper adds that Pagano could earn his first start with Salernitana on the weekend in light of Lorenzo Pellegrini’s absence due to suspension.
