While Roma are busy with their second mid-season training camp in Algarve, Portugal, Jose Mourinho is already preparing the upcoming second half of the season where Roma will have to do better with the return of Paulo Dybala and Gini Wijnaldum.
Given Tammy Abraham’s continued lack of form shown so far in Japan and Portugal, Mourinho has come up with an alternative solution for Roma’s offensive gameplan.
According to today’s edition of Corriere dello Sport, the Special One is considering revolutionizing Roma’s attack as the team’s offensive players, except Dybala, have struggled mightily in front of goal.
Mourinho is going to try utilizing Paulo Dybala and Nicolo Zaniolo as false nine options going forward. This does not meant that Tammy Abraham won’t start for Roma in January, but indicates a willingness on Mourinho’s part to diversify the team’s attacking options.
