Jose Mourinho could end up staying in Italy, after all.

Only a few days after his dismissal from Roma, Mourinho and his entourage are already reportedly considering new destinations in Italy and abroad.

The latest news suggested Mourinho was in talks to become Al-Shabab’s next manager in the coming days as the Special One had apparently given his approval for negotiations to take off.

However, according to Italian journalist Ciro Venerato of Rai 2, Napoli are still in the race for Mourinho.

The ex-Roma technician has yet to reject Napoli’s approach as they continue to eye him as a long-term option with Walter Mazzarri set to depart the Partenopei at the end of the season.

Mourinho’s agent, Jorge Mendes, is said to have held a preliminary round of talks with Napoli President Aurelio De Laurentiis to assess what the Neapolitan club’s plans are for next year.

As of right now, Mourinho is torn and has to decide which destination suits him the most and whether he is ready for a new coaching challenge immediately concluding his 2.5-year spell at Roma.
