Roma boss Jose Mourinho discussed Mady Camara’s importance to the Giallorossi, as well as Roma’s need to grab as many points as possible in the league before the World Cup break after 13 November.
“After the defeat against Napoli, there was obviously a bit of sadness and frustration,” the Special One told DAZN before kick-off at the Bentegodi. “We went to Helsinki, and it was a difficult game – a match we couldn’t afford to lose.”
“The story of injuries continues: now it’s Spinazzola who is out. But we have to survive until November 13th. We must win on Thursday, survive in the league and increase the gap with the teams below us. We need points.”
“Camara is important for us because we don’t have that many options in the middle of the pitch. In Helsinki we had Kumbulla playing in the midfield, Bove and Faticanti who made his debut.”
“Matic made a huge effort to be here tonight. Until November 13 we have to score as many points as possible.”
