Roma manger José Mourinho has his eyes set towards Portugal, hoping to bring fresh faces to the Italian capital this summer.

According to Portuguese outlet cmjornal.pt, Mourinho wants Roma executive Tiago Pinto to take advantage of the good relations that he still has with his former employer, Benfica.

Reportedly, ‘The Special One’ is interested in acquiring German midfielder Julian Weigl and Greek shot-stopper Odysseas Vlachodimos when the transfer window reopens.

However, it would be an expensive proposition for the Giallorossi given that the Portuguese giants are asking €45 million for the duo.

Though, Pinto’s excellent rapport with Benfica director Rui Costa, whom he worked alongside for nearly a decade, could give Roma an inside track to purchasing the duo.
