Roma manager Jose Mourinho spoke to the media following Roma’s arrival in Bulgaria for Thursday’s opening Europa League fixture with Ludogorets.
“When we talk about Ludogorets, we are talking about an experienced team that is used to playing in Europe,” the Special One said.
“We expect many challenges, but we are not here on a holiday trip and we do not want to spare anyone.”
“From experience, if you start the group stages on a positive note you are then able to carry it forward more easily. It will also depend on how we play, which is why we will try to impose our game. We are here in full force because we want to win.”
“Against Udinese it was an ugly loss. Ludogorets might experience our frustration and anger tomorrow evening,” he added, referring to Roma’s 4-0 defeat in Udine on Sunday night.
On Tammy Abraham and Rick Karsdorp’s absences, Mourinho simply remarked, “We’re here to play football. Those who are not with us are not in form to do so right now.”
