Jose Mourinho officially touched upon the idea of renewing his contract with Roma.
The Portuguese technician released an interview with TG1 earlier this evening, where he confirmed his willingness to continue working in the Italian capital where’s been manager since 2021.
“Will I stay here? I don’t know. The last time I spoke to Mr. Dan Friedkin was on the phone ten minutes after the end of the Lazio game, in my office,” said Mourinho.
“Last week I talked to Ryan, let’s talk about today and today’s work, not the renewal.”
“Totti? Totti is the number one in the history of Rome. Should he collaborate with us? I understand the question, but I have to answer it in a ‘defensive’ way. I have this fame, even though my teams score a lot of goals. This is a thing between Francesco and the club.”
“In the history of Roma for the first time there were two consecutive finals, you can imagine the difficulty it took for us to achieve this. If you think about which teams have historically made three European finals in a row, you always think about the greatest teams. We’re trying to get another European final this season.”
