Jose Mourinho is being eyed as Fernando Santos’ successor as manager in charge of the Portuguese national team.
The Special One’s agent – Jorge Mendes – has reportedly been in contact with the country’s federation.
According to Corriere dello Sport, yesterday Mendes held a key meeting with Portugal’s president Fernando Gomes where the two discussed the details of Seleção’s proposal.
The meeting was conducted in maximum privacy in a hotel in the Portuguese capital. However, for the time being the Special One’s focus remains on Roma, although the newspaper claims that Mourinho is seriously considering this opportunity.
