Mourinho’s assistant Salvatore Foti responds to Roma supporters

Following a disappointing loss at the Stadio Olimpico, Mourinho’s assistant Salvatore Foti was asked to make sense of another questionable display by Serie A official Michael Fabbri.

In the Special One’s absence, Foti coached the team from the sideline without demanding explanations from the referee with regards to various decisions that went against Roma over the course of the night.

After the final whistle, some fans recorded Foti outside the Olimpico, taking selfies with supporters and answering questions about why he didn’t express his dissatisfaction with Fabbri’s decision-making.

Foti was recorded replying, “I know the refereeing was not ideal, but I couldn’t let them throw me out.”
