Jose Mourinho’s recent decision to reject Portugal’s offer involving the national team’s managerial spot will have consequences for Roma and the club’s management, Irene Palma – a Portuguese journalist for A Bola – claims.
In an interview with calciomercato.it, Palma stated, “Mourinho would have never accepted the option of coaching both club and country. For him, the priority is and always will be coaching one team.”
“Mourinho’s refusal to coach Portugal will increase the pressure and the requests of the coach at Roma. And it is possible that Roma will soon reinforce the squad to try to satisfy the coach’s requests.”
