Roma manager José Mourinho shared his thoughts on Roma’s upcoming Conference League final in Tirana.
The Portuguese technician shared words of wisdom from his own experience as manager of title winning teams.
“Little by little, we went to realise our ambition to go as far as possible in this competition,” he told UEFA.
“The Conference League is our UEFA Champions League. This is the level we are in, the competition we are playing in. The club hasn’t reached a game like this in a long time.”
Mourinho dismissed the thought of potentially winning the competition, “We must forget that we could win our first UEFA trophy. For me, you have to treat a final like a single leg that brings pressure, tension and a sense of responsibility.”
“We just have to think about the final and the opponent we face, and forget Roma’s history. Then of course it would be wonderful to win for the city, the club and all of us.”
