Cagliari midfielder Nahitan Nandez has been offered to Roma as he nears the end of his contract with the Sardinian side.

According to the latest report by ReteSport, the agents of the Uruguayan international have proposed him to Roma who in turn are looking to further strengthen Daniele De Rossi’s midfield ahead of next season.

Nandez represents a flexible, intense, gritty, capable footballer, the type that De Rossi likes and has asked the club to pursue.

The Cagliari captain, who will be released in June, is 28 years old and this year he was the absolute leader of Ranieri’s team, having previously helped his side return to Serie A after being relegated two years ago.

The news portal suggests that Nandez’s entourage have confirmed his links with Roma – although it is highly probable that the player has already been proposed to other clubs in Italy as well.
