Nainggolan: “De Rossi told me he wanted to keep playing. He’ll be a manager sooner or later”.

Cagliari midfielder Radja Nainggolan was asked about the pending retirement of ex-Giallorossi midfielder Daneiele De Rossi.

It has been reported that the former Roma captain will leave Boca Juniors and hang up his playing boots at the age of 36.

”I talked to him a week ago and he told me he wanted to keep playing,” the Belgian revealed.

”He told me about the injuries but this seems like strange news to me. I heard there may be issues in his personal life but then again — I don’t know everything about his life”.

“He was a great teammate, player and friend so I wish him good luck. However, I think he’ll stay in the world of football because he’s too intelligent not to be involved. Sooner or later he’ll be a manager — he was already one on the pitch”, he concluded to Sky Sport.
