Nainggolan: “I left Roma because of Monchi”.

Former Roma and current Inter midfielder Radja Nainggolan spoke to Belgian portal hln.be about his summer move away from the capital. These are his words:

“Had I stayed at Roma, a war would have broken out. I had a squabble with the sporting director Monchi, he didn’t behave professionally towards me. If he had told me in the summer, ‘We want to sell you’, I would have accepted that. But he did not do so —- instead, he sent some intermediaries to Turkey to sell me without my knowledge. At that point, I realised that my time in Rome was over, it was either him or me. If I had stayed, I could have made a world war on a daily basis”.
