Nainggolan: “I left Roma because of Monchi”.

John Solano

Former Roma and current Inter midfielder Radja Nainggolan spoke to Belgian portal about his summer move away from the capital. These are his words:

“Had I stayed at Roma, a war would have broken out. I had a squabble with the sporting director Monchi, he didn’t behave professionally towards me. If he had told me in the summer, ‘We want to sell you’, I would have accepted that. But he did not do so —- instead, he sent some intermediaries to Turkey to sell me without my knowledge. At that point, I realised that my time in Rome was over, it was either him or me. If I had stayed, I could have made a world war on a daily basis”.
