Nainggolan: “If it was up to me, I would return to Roma right now.”

Former Roma midfielder Radja Nainggolan – currently playing for Belgian side Royal Antwerp – was recently asked by OCW Sport to compare footballing culture in Rome and Milan, as well as share his thoughts on Roma’s current form and Mourinho’s trajectory with the Giallorossi.

“In Rome the derby for example is a question of life or death, while in Milan it is like playing a game with friends. In Rome, people remind you of the derby even weeks after the match, in Milan the next day you can go out for a ride in the center and hear absolutely nothing about it.”

About Roma’s recent form:

“This situation hurts me too, I am very fond of those colors. I spoke to several players who have been coached by Mourinho and they confirmed to me that even a coach like the Special One needs champions to win.”

“If it was up to me, I would be willing to return to Roma even now, but I would risk compromising the bond I have with the fans.”
