Former Roma man Radja Nainggolan went over his painful exit from the capital club.

While speaking on the Gurulandia podcast, the Belgian midfielder took issue with former sporting director Ramon Monchi.

“I chose to go where I wanted after my Roma spell. At the time there was a director who made me feel important but then in the end he wanted to sell me without telling me anything.”

“So I didn’t want to stay where there is a person whom I didn’t get along with and so I chose to leave. If I had known that he would be leaving 6 months later, I would have stayed at Roma.”

“Perhaps my sadness at leaving Rome was so great that my approach to Inter was a little misunderstood. They asked me once if I was happy to be at Inter and I replied that I was happy but that if they had asked me if I was sadder about leaving Roma I would have said yes.”
