Nainggolan misses out on World Cup

Belgium manager Roberto Martinez revealed his World Cup team selection this afternoon and revealed that Roma midfielder Radja Nainggolan would, once again, miss out on this summer’s World Cup. These are his words:

“Radja is a top player. The reason is tactical. In the last two years the team has worked in a specific manner. Other players had those roles. We know that Radja has a very important role in his club and we cannot give him that role in our squad.”

Meanwhile, HLN Sport have reported that Martinez flew to Rome yesterday to inform Nainggolan of his decision to exclude the midfielder from his World Cup side.
