Napoli manager Luciano Spalletti previewed tomorrow night’s big match with Roma at the Maradona stadium in Naples.
The former Roma coach told the media that he expects this to be a pivotal game for Napoli’s Scudetto race.
“Every game is difficult but this one even more so and it will be crucial for the Scudetto. It’s a match against a director competitor,” Spalletti said. “It will be a game of great individual plays and lots of tactics. The three points are going to be a real prize at fulltime.”
“Roma have great players, a very practical and concrete coach who is always able to work on his side’s attitude ahead of key games. They have strong and fast players, you must never think of managing the game, of thinking you can just cruise until the end. They have Dybala-type players who take advantage of the speed and pace of their teammates. They force you to restructure your entire defense in order to avoid taking any further risks.”
“They know how to move the ball quickly and they also know how to run after it, they are pragmatic, they know what they want, choosing well the episodes that bring advantages to them and in those episodes they give everything. It is a dangerous game if you are not good at keeping your balance and maintaining order.”
