Napoli, Everton interested in Gonzalo Villar

Roma midfielder Gonzalo Villar

It’s been a tough start to life under new manager Jose Mourinho for Roma midfielder Gonzalo Villar.

The Spaniard has seen a significant reduction in his role since the arrival of the Special One, appearing in only two matches so far this season, both of which came in the Conference League.

Unsurprisingly, transfer speculation surrounding the 23 year-old has increased in recent weeks, with several clubs rumored to be interested.

According to Spanish outlet, both Everton and Napoli are keen on a potential January move for Villar.

The midfielder rejected several transfer proposals during the summer in favor of staying in the Italian capital. However, if his situation is unchanged in the coming weeks, he could rethink the possibility of leaving Roma.
