After five seasons with the club, Napoli have finalised the sale of Brazilian midfielder Allan to Everton for €25 million plus €3 million in bonuses.
The Partenopei will certainly now look to bring in reinforcements following the Brazilian’s departure, and one of the names they’re interested in is Roma’s Jordan Veretout, who joined the Giallorossi last summer.
Despite the interest in Veretout, it’s possible that manager Gennaro Gattuso could ultimately decide not to purchase a new midfielder — especially if he opts to utilise a 4-2-3-1 formation, according to Gianluca Di Marzio.
Reportedly, Napoli may decide to purchase a more attacking player, such as Sassuolo winger Jeremie Boga, if Gattuso prefers a 4-2-3-1 formation instead of a 4-3-3 this season.
