Napoli, Manolas: “Roma? I can’t explain it. The match was over at 2-0”.

Former Roma and current Napoli defender Kostas Manolas spoke today ahead of the Partenopei’s Champions League clash against Salzburg and reflected on his side’s 2-1 loss against Roma on Saturday. Here’s what the Greek had to say:

You had 7 shots in 17 minutes against Roma but then you suffered: how does that happen?
I can’t explain it, either. We are a strong team, in my opinion, we must have more hunger and ruthlessness. There are no easy games – we saw this in Rome. We didn’t score in the first half and then we got it wrong in the second half: the match was over at 2-0. For me, we can do better. We are Napoli and we have many important players.
