Napoli midfielder Diego Demme weary of Roma threat

Napoli midfielder Diego Demme rejected the idea that this Sunday’s match against Roma will be easier following the Giallorossi’s humiliating Conference League defeat yesterday.

The German discussed this Sunday’s showdown in the Italian capital between the two sides. Napoli enter the clash with a perfect record in the league and hope to extend their streak to nine against Roma.

“We want keep on the path that we’re currently on,” Demme said to Radio Kiss Kiss.

“We’re motivated and energised, our goal is to keep going. Roma suffered a really bad defeat yesterday but that doesn’t affect Sunday, they played a lot of second choice players.”

He continued, “But we’re going to Rome to win, we’re doing well in training and from a physical point of view we’re in good shape. We feel we’re well prepared for all of our games, so we want to keep going just like this.”

“Spalletti has several merits, the details matter and he seems to see things that other managers don’t. He gives us confidence.”
