Napoli president Aurelio De Laurentiis took to his official Twitter account to welcome The Friedkin Group to Italian football.
The Houston-based consortium officially acquired AS Roma today from James Pallotta, who has been the president of the club for the past nine years.
“Dear Friedkin, welcome to Italian football! Italian football is strengthening and becoming more international and is strongly attracting investment,” he said.
“I am sure that, like us, you also want to make an important contribution to transform the footballing system in Italy and leading it to become more of an industry that is a mix of sport and entertainment”.
