Earlier today, Roma sporting director Monchi admitted that he rejected “a big offer” in the last days of the transfer market for Stephan El Shaarawy.
Calciomercato.it reports both Napoli and Sevilla were interested in the player and that Roma received offers from both clubs worth nearly €20 million while the player was offered wages of €3 million per season. However, the good relationship with the club and fans plus the environment of Rome led to both Monchi and El Shaarawy rejecting the approaches.
