Roma are being linked with out-of-favor Napoli goal-keeper Alex Meret.
Meret’s future is likely to unfold away from Naples where – due to repeated injuries and technical decisions – he has been temporarily replaced by Gollini.
According to Corriere dello Sport, after failing to renew his contract with the Partenopei, Meret’s entourage are shopping him around Italy.
As a result, his agents are said to have offered the 26-year-old shot-stopper to Roma who are seeking a long-term replacement for Rui Patricio – the Portuguese veteran will depart the Italian capital as a free agent this summer.
The newspaper claims Roma have made initial inquiries for Meret, assessing the player’s contractual demands.
