Napoli goal-keeper Alex Meret admitted to his team’s mistake that led to Roma finding a late equalizer in tonight’s 2-2 draw at the Diego Maradona Stadium.
In his post-match interview with Sky Sport, Meret commented on his side’s performance: “We weren’t focused enough on Roma’s final corner kick.”
“It’s a shame. We had managed to turn it around, with a great performance but we failed to convert our chances,” he added.
“We can’t seem to win when we play really well. We lacked continuity, but we must continue like this in order to end the season in the best possible way.”
“For us it’s not a positive season. We threw away a lot of games, but the team worked hard, there are difficulties. There is anger at the team’s potential, but what’s done is done. let’s think about the future.”
