The latest name to be linked with the capital club in the opening to this year’s summer transfer window is that of out-of-favor Napoli midfielder Diego Demme.
Demme is one of Napoli’s priorities in terms of player exits. The Partenopei are encountering difficulties in off-loading the former RB Leipzig captain.
Aurelio De Laurentiis were reportedly in talks with Valencia but negotiations seem to have broken down, reports Tuttomercatoweb.
Thus, Roma made an inquiry about Demme over recent weeks. The 30-year-old would reportedly be willing to continue playing in Italy.
However, TMW reports that Demme is one of the players Roma are considering only in case Jordan Veretout were to leave the club in the coming weeks which seems unlikely at the moment.
