Negotiation for Wijnaldum remains complex, Roma cautiously optimistic

RomaPress Staff

The future of PSG midfielder Georginio Wijnaldum is still a question mark amidst the complex negotiation ongoing between the Parisians and Roma.

According to Sky Sport, the Dutchman has already agreed to forego nearly €1 million in net wages in order to facilitate his move to the Italian capital. It’s an extremely intricate operation due to Wijnaldum’s large wages.

The midfielder is keen to join-up with Jose Mourinho at Roma but he’s hesitant to give up any more of his pay to push the deal over the finish line—something that might be necessary to finalise an exit from Paris.

The Giallorossi are monitoring the situation but they’re cautiously optimistic the transfer will reach a successful conclusion. Though, they’re eager to see how situation evolves over the coming days as their season begins in less than two weeks.
