One of the protagonists of last night’s win – Nemanja Matic – discussed Roma’s performance versus Feyenoord.
The Serbian midfielder provided Mourinho’s men with quality interceptions, winning numerous duels and controlling the rhythm of the game late in extra-time as Roma looked to secure their victory.
“It was a great battle against a team that plays very well and always knows what to do on the pitch,” Matic told Roma TV after the game. “I think we had a great match. We all gave 100% and I think we deserve to play in the semi-final. We are very happy.”
“I think this team is growing a lot day by day. We’re third or fourth in the league, we’re going to play the semi-final in the Europa League. Let’s see how this season ends.”
