Roma midfielder Nemanja Matic addressed the difficulty in facing Juventus after going down by one goal after the first minute of playing time. Despite an underwhelming effort in the first half, the Serbian veteran was satisfied with the final result.
“It’s never easy when you’re down a goal after a few seconds,” the player told Sky Sport. “That gave Juve confidence and the whole stadium went crazy.”
“We struggled to hold the ball. After a proper talk with the coach at half-time we turned things around. We changed gameplan and maintained more possession and managed certain situations better than in the first half.”
“In the end, 1-1 is still a good result. We came here for the three points, but sometimes you have to satisfy yourself with a draw, especially when you’re playing away to Juventus.”
