Roma midfielder Nemanja Matic spoke about the Roman fanbase and his legacy in a recent interview with Starcasinosport.
When asked about the attendance at Stadio Olimpico, the Serbian veteran had nothing but high praise for Giallorossi fans.
“I think they are the best in Italy. I’m not saying this because I play here, but because I’ve seen that the other teams to have the stadium full have to play well for more games in a row.”
“Here, however, the happiness of the fans is fantastic. Since I’ve been here, in the last year, we’ve always had 60,000 spectators at the Olimpico. It’s impressive and I don’t think it’s like that for the other clubs.”
“Mourinho? Everyone knows Mourinho as a coach and I hope that one day they will be able to say that I was the José Mourinho of players. I thank him for his trust in me.”
