Jose Mourinho will not be able to rely on Nemanja Matic in Roma’s upcoming midweek fixture with Helsinki in the club’s penultimate Europa League groupstage match.
As reported by Sky Sport, Mourinho’s trusted midfielder was ruled out for the upcoming trip to Finland due to a hamstring injury he picked up in Roma’s recent draw with Real Betis in Seville. The Serbian international made a brief appearance on Sunday with Napoli despite the nagging injury.
However, Matic did not take part in today’s training session and will thus miss tomorrow night’s Europa League affair in the Finnish capital.
