Roma are being taken to court by their technical sponsor New Balance.
The sports footwear and apparel manufacturer from Boston recently sued the capital club as a result of Roma’s recent long-term agreement with Adidas.
According to Il Messaggero, New Balance exercised their right of first refusal – which means that by matching Adidas’ offer, New Balance had forced Roma to accept a new deal in their favour. The Giallorossi, however, signed a long-term deal with Adidas instead.
The Italian newspaper reports that a verdict is expected on 11 February.
