New meeting tomorrow for Friedkin’s lawyers

John Solano

RomaPress – Dan Friedkin wants to close the deal this week for the acquisition of AS Roma.

The Houston tycoon has been pressing over the last few days to finalise the purchase of the Italian capital club from the Giallorossi’s Boston-based president James Pallotta.

A source at The Friedkin Group has confirmed to RomaPress that there will be a meeting tomorrow morning between Friedkin’s legal counsel and representatives from DLA Piper, the New York based legal advisers of Pallotta.

The Bostonian has set a mid-August deadline for all interested buyers as he wants to ensure the sale of the club goes thru before the end of the year.

The Friedkin Group, at the moment, has a very strong lead on Fahad Al Baker’s Kuwait-based consortium, who are the only other interested party in acquiring the club.
