Ola Solbakken is set to become Roma’s first reinforcement in the January window as the Norwegian attacker is already planning his trip to Italy, reports Il Tempo.
According to the Italian newspaper, Solbakken’s arrival in the Italian capital is expected to take place on Monday evening. The player is expected to represent his national team in a friendly with Finland.
During his stay in Italy, the 23-year-old will also meet with Roma to sign the last formalities which will enable him to become a new Giallorossi player in January.
The tense rapport between Bodo/Glimt and Roma, however, is likely to prevent Solbakken from participating in Roma’s upcoming trip to Japan and training camp in Portugal.
The signing will only be made official once the player is a free agent after 31 December.
