Roma Primavera midfielder Niccolo Pisilli details his impressions from Roma’s training camp in Portugal.
To Pisilli’s surprise, Jose Mourinho decided to include the 18-year-old in his squad list for pre-season, involving him in the final minutes of last night’s friendly with Estrela Amadora.
Following the Giallorossi’s 4-0 win, Pisilli was asked about his thoughts on getting to work with Mourinho and Roma’s first team.
“It was a good performance from the team,” Pisilli told Roma TV. “Another friendly after three days which helps us put more and more minutes into our legs. We had a good game and all in all it went well.”
“Being here is a dream come true, after ten years in the youth academy… it’s all you’ve worked for. It’s a dream come true and I will do everything to try and stay here as long as possible.”
“Working with champions like Matic, Dybala, Pellegrini and all of them is special. You can learn so much from each one of them. As for the coach… I don’t think any introduction is needed. He won everything and you can only watch and learn from him. It’s a privilege.”
“It’s the best summer of my life so far. It is a continuous fulfillment of wishes that until recently I could not even imagine. I am delighted with how things are going.”
